Walmart Sellers: How to Resolve the 'Not Authorized' Error on Walmart

You may have received the Walmart error below when connecting your Walmart Store to Onramp. Walmart requires consistent emails across solution providers and the Seller Center, so this error indicates you used a different email with Onramp.

You’ll need to add the email used to sign up with Onramp as an Admin User in the Walmart Seller Center. Then, try to connect again. 

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Add a new user to Walmart Seller Center

  1. Log into your Walmart Seller Center and go to People and Permissions page
  2. Click Add User at the top right
  3. Enter the email used to sign up with Onramp
  4. Click Add User

  1. Enter name & set role to Admin

  1. Check your email - you’ll receive an email from Walmart to complete account set up
  2. Go through the steps, including creating a password
  3. Confirm you can log into Walmart Seller Center with the new credentials

‍Step 2: Try connecting your Walmart store to Onramp

‍Note, we recommend you close out of all tabs with Onramp or Walmart‍
  1. Login to Onramp
  2. Select Walmart 
  3. Click Connect Walmart Store
  4. When you get to the Walmart login page, login in with the new Walmart user you just created (email will now match Onramp)

You should be able to successfully connect! Please reach out for any support.
