Shopify Capital publishes more about itself than the "nothing is disclosed" version of this page claimed. Shopify's help documentation publishes two cost structures with worked examples, a maximum funding figure, and repayment milestones. What it still does not publish is a revenue minimum or a single repayment percentage.
Everything below was read from shopify.com/capital, help.shopify.com, and from each third-party provider's own website on 15 September 2026. Where a figure is not published, this page says so instead of filling the gap.
Shopify Capital: what Shopify actually publishes
| Feature | What Shopify states |
|---|---|
| Maximum funding | Up to $2M, from real-time sales data |
| Speed | As quick as two business days once approved |
| Repayment | A fixed percentage of daily sales, only on days you sell |
| Maximum term | 18 months, with 2 minimum payments applying |
| Countries | Select merchants in the US, Canada, UK and Australia |
| Lender of record (US) | WebBank |
| Uses | Inventory, marketing, operations, payroll |
What Shopify actually publishes on cost
| Structure | What Shopify publishes |
|---|---|
| Monthly-fee loan | A fixed monthly fee. Shopify's own example: a $100,000 loan with a $1,400 monthly fee costs $4,200 in fees over 3 months, or $15,400 over 11 months |
| Fixed-fee loan | A single factor rate on the full amount. Shopify's own example: a $100,000 loan at a 13% factor rate costs $13,000 total, however quickly it is repaid |
| Repayment percentage | Not published as a fixed number. It is a percentage of daily sales across the account |
| Repayment milestones | 30% of the loan due by month 6, 60% by month 12, within an 18-month maximum term |
| Minimum revenue threshold | None published. Eligibility weighs sales volume, sales-day frequency, and order count |
An earlier version of this page stated that Shopify publishes no fee and no factor rate of any kind. That was based on the Capital marketing page alone. Shopify's help documentation, read on 15 September 2026, publishes the two structures and example figures above.
Eligibility, as published
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Time selling | At least 90 days on Shopify |
| Policy | Comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service |
| Location | Select merchants in the US, Canada, UK, Australia |
| Revenue minimum | None published |
| Chargeback threshold | None published |
| Credit check | None. No credit checks and no guarantors |
How the decision is actually made
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Prequalification | A machine learning model analyses sales, disputes and customer engagement |
| Review | The Shopify Capital team reviews the application against the requested amount |
| Notification | Email plus a message on the admin home screen |
| Outcome | An invitation to apply does not guarantee funding |
Because the inputs are sales, disputes and customer engagement rather than a published threshold, there is no number to hit. You cannot apply your way in, and no guide can tell you your odds.
Repayment mechanics
| Question | Published answer |
|---|---|
| How is it collected? | A fixed percentage of daily sales, only on days you sell |
| What is the percentage? | Not published |
| What is the fee? | Monthly-fee example: $1,400/mo on $100,000. Fixed-fee example: 13% factor rate on $100,000 |
| How long can it run? | A maximum of 18 months |
| Are there minimums? | Yes, 2 minimum payments apply |
| Can I get another round? | Possibly, once a certain percentage is repaid, under a separate agreement |
Model your own offer before accepting it. Export 60 days of daily sales, apply the remittance percentage from your offer document, then rerun it with sales down 20%. That tells you whether the deduction still leaves you able to buy stock in a slow month.

If Shopify has not made you an offer
There is no application queue, so the practical options are to keep trading or to look outside the admin. These four all work with Shopify sellers.
| Provider | Published range | Structure |
|---|---|---|
| Onramp Funds | Not published | Variable, fixed, or a rolling cash line across nine platforms |
| Wayflyer | $5k to $20m | One fixed fee, no spend restrictions |
| Clearco | Not published | Capped weekly payments, four named structures |
| Settle | $20K to $15M | Purchase orders and supplier payment terms |
| Fundbox | Up to $250,000 | Flexible terms, no early repayment fees |
The published minimums, side by side
| Provider | Minimum | Personal credit |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify Capital | 90 days on Shopify, policy compliance | No credit checks, no guarantors |
| Onramp Funds | $10,000 monthly sales, 6+ months selling history, US entity | No personal credit check |
| Clearco | 12+ months above $100,000 per month | No personal guarantees |
| Wayflyer | Not published | No personal guarantees, no equity |
| Settle | Not published | Not published |
| Fundbox | Not published | Not published |
Onramp Funds requires a legal US business entity, at least $10,000 in monthly sales and at least 6 months of selling history, with no personal credit check. It supports Shopify alongside eight other platforms: Amazon, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Walmart, Shopline and Stripe, which is the relevant difference if Shopify is not your only channel. The variable option repays as a share of sales that moves with revenue, the fixed option repays weekly or every two weeks over one to twelve months, and the rolling cash line is a revolving capacity that grows with sales. There is one transparent fee with no hidden costs and no equity is taken.
Onramp Funds also publishes its cost: a flat fee starting at 9% for shorter terms, disclosed upfront before you accept, non-compounding, remitted as a percentage of daily sales. Price scales with the term of the advance. Subject to credit eligibility; rates and terms may vary. Your offer states the exact fee.
If you also sell on Amazon, note that Amazon Lending is not a single product either. It is a marketplace of third-party providers (including term loans, merchant cash advances, and lines of credit) offered by invitation through Seller Central, with decisions usually made within one to three business days and approved funds typically disbursed within two business days. Amazon states that applying does not affect personal credit. Like Shopify Capital, it only sees your Amazon sales. Onramp underwrites Shopify and Amazon sales together, along with seven other platforms, so a seller active on both can qualify on combined revenue rather than being sized twice by two platform-specific lenders.
Two things it still does not publish, and this page will not invent them: a maximum funding amount, and a funding speed.
What each one discloses about cost
| Provider | Cost disclosure |
|---|---|
| Shopify Capital | Nothing |
| Wayflyer | One fixed fee, remitted over a timeframe aligned to your cycles |
| Onramp Funds | A flat fee starting at 9% for shorter terms, disclosed upfront, non-compounding, remitted as a percentage of daily sales. Subject to credit eligibility; rates and terms may vary. |
| Clearco | Early payment without penalty, no blanket liens |
| Fundbox | No early repayment fees |
| Settle | Nothing beyond the funding range |
One provider on this page publishes an actual number and the rest publish a shape at best. Ask all of them the same question in writing anyway: the total amount repayable on a specific funding amount, over a specific period. That is comparable across a factor rate, a flat fee and a bank margin. A rate is not, and neither is a fee band on its own.
FAQs
How much can I get from Shopify Capital?
Shopify publishes offers up to $2M, generated from real-time sales data. Guides quoting a higher ceiling, including an earlier version of this page, are not using Shopify's published figure.
What does Shopify Capital cost?
Shopify publishes two structures: a monthly-fee loan (example: $1,400 per month on a $100,000 loan) or a fixed-fee loan (example: a 13% factor rate on a $100,000 loan, for $13,000 total regardless of repayment speed). Your own offer document has the figures that apply to you.
Does any Shopify funding option publish its cost?
Two options on this page publish a specific cost. Onramp Funds: a flat fee starting at 9% for shorter terms, disclosed upfront, non-compounding. Subject to credit eligibility; rates and terms may vary. Shopify Capital: a monthly-fee or fixed-fee structure with published examples (a $1,400 monthly fee or a 13% factor rate on a $100,000 loan). Wayflyer, Clearco, Settle and Fundbox each publish a structure rather than a number.
What revenue do I need to qualify?
Shopify publishes no revenue minimum. The two published requirements are 90 days selling on Shopify and compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service, plus an automated model that weighs sales, disputes and customer engagement.
Can I apply directly for Shopify Capital?
No. Shopify emails eligible merchants and shows a message on the admin home screen. An invitation to apply does not guarantee funding, and there is no separate application route.
Does it affect my personal credit?
Shopify states the application involves no credit checks and no guarantors, and that the personal information collected is not used for a credit check. In the United States, the funding is issued by WebBank.
What if I am never offered funding?
Keep trading and let the model reassess, or approach a third-party provider directly. Onramp Funds, Wayflyer, Clearco, Settle and Fundbox all work with Shopify sellers, and unlike Shopify Capital you can approach them rather than waiting to be selected.
Does Onramp Funds work for sellers on both Shopify and Amazon?
Yes. Amazon Lending, like Shopify Capital, only evaluates Amazon sales. Onramp underwrites Shopify and Amazon sales together, along with seven other platforms, so a multi-platform seller can qualify on combined revenue instead of being sized separately by each platform's own lender.
Details were read from shopify.com/capital and from each provider's own website on 15 September 2026. Terms change without notice, so confirm current figures before applying.
